WAYC Honours Ambassador Osunde with Nelson Mandela Leadership Award

The West Africa Youth Council (WAYC) has conferred the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity on Ambassador Eghosa Alvin Osunde in recognition of his contributions to ethical leadership, youth empowerment and community development across West Africa.

Osunde, a philanthropist, businessman, pastor and Chairman of Hadi Group, was honoured for his commitment to integrity, service and mentorship, values closely associated with the legacy of Nelson Mandela.

WAYC said the award is reserved for leaders whose lives reflect courage, selfless service and dedication to humanity. The council praised Osunde’s humanitarian initiatives, enterprise-building efforts and faith-based leadership, which continue to create opportunities for young people.

Under his leadership, Hadi Group has expanded programmes supporting entrepreneurship, employment and capacity building across the region.

In his remarks, Osunde thanked WAYC for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to ethical leadership and youth development. WAYC representatives described him as a transformational leader whose character reflects Mandela’s enduring legacy.
